Today, I'd just like to talk about birthdays.
I still remember the very first birthday present I received, after serving in Attributes for only 2 times. I remember it was last year when I had to apply for exam leave from my then subgroup I/C Jacob. And so I didn't serve, but I had to hand in my leave application form to him.
That day I only reached Expo at 9.30, pretty late, and he called me to make sure that I remembered to hand in my form. Haha so I rushed to find him and he told me to wait and then lo and behold! Christina appeared with a present for me!
I was so touched, cos I was such a new member and never expected them to remember my birthday at all. Haha, even today at my desk sits the black calendar that I got.
And then when I was appointed birthday I/C this year for a short period in Sun B before being transferred to Sun A, it was an exhilarating experience to discuss with my fellow birthday I/C Jasmine and go shopping. And efficient Jasmine always bought presents 4 months in advance! Felt like Santa Claus especially in June this year with a bumper crop of June babies.
So here's a shoutout to all birthday I/Cs, thank you for your efforts!
